The meme collector currently works for a heretofore unnamed Wall
Street bank. He has a skill that makes him valuable to the bank: the
ability to find the memes that would reach massive exposure to the point
of over-saturation. He helps his employer expand its media portfolio
and to extend its presence into digital culture.
On any
given day, the meme collector purchases NFTs and distributes copies of
these on his Twitter feed, where the NFT gets picked up and meme-ified
(or not). The NFT-meme absorbs value as more people see or remix the
NFT-meme and make it their own. The usual financial shenanigans can
happen at this point, but usually the bank sells all or parts of the NFT
and picks up a profit.
