Churches should operate homeless or women's shelters and hols their services there, instead of making fancy buildings just for the sake of praying. If I were Jesus, I wouldn't build a temple until people are taken care of. That said, I think the only true Christian church at this point is the Roman Catholic Church (and maybe the Eastern Orthodox, but I'm not sure about the last one)
One thing is for sure. Jesus said the poor we shall always have among us. That is why I think that governments shouldn't concern themselves with wealth, but with poverty. I believe that there can be such thing as poverty management. People who are poor should have at least an option of where they can have shelter and food. I'm not sure, and those services should be freely available to them. Social programs and employment opportunities can all help. Money shouldn't just be given to them, like I said before, but you can create a social environment such that there's a way out. The point is to reduce poverty to as much a natural thing as possible, rather than a consequence of our actions.
